Polar Expedition Gallery Photos Displayed on Tverskoy Boulevard
This spring, March 6 to April 30, Tverskoy Boulevard in Moscow hosted a photo exhibition titled The Arctic: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow sponsored and supported by Rosneft and Prolab companies along with the Moscow Department of Culture. Polar Expedition Gallery participated in the exhibition with several works of the project’s photographers.
Large-format photos of severe, endless but marvelous and breathtaking northern splendor got cozy along Tverskoy Boulevard.
The exhibition featured archive works of photo-documentarians, discovering mundane routines of the Far North, the arctic flora and fauna, and shelf development examples. Polar Expedition Gallery displayed picturesque landscapes of the unique arctic nature, such as icebound Teriberka waterfall, southern coast of Kildin Island, and snow-covered Kola Peninsula.
All the photos were taken during our 2014 expedition on board the R/V Kartesh along the Murman coast of the Barents Sea.
