Expedition Participants repair Native's House

R/V Kartesh got back to Vaygach Island. Apart from scientific research, this time the expedition participants repaired the roof of a local dweller's house. Before the expedition, the Marine Mammal Council researchers purchased sufficient amount of roofing felt in Naryan-Mar and got it aboard with the assistance of the Polar Expedition Gallery enthusiasts. Andrey Vylka, a local Nenets, had got acquainted with the researchers during their previous expeditions; he highly appreciated the help with the repairs.
Apart from that, the photographers gave Andrey beautiful high quality landscape photos as a gift. Large-scale photographs printed on a weatherproof material now decorate the walls of his house. From now on, Andrey can enjoy beautiful views of sun-lit green fields even in hazy and nasty weather.
